» Jamex Payment Controller

The Jamex Payment Controller provides the payment interface for your software that will allow your PC-based product quick and easy access to all of the powerful features of modern currency and card handling equipment. By using a clearly defined, high-level set of simple ASCII commands, you can now accept payment with a variety of coins, bills and/or prepaid Stored-Value Cards.

Model 8300

The core component of this system is the model 8300 Jamex Payment Controller (JPC) which connects to your PC through a standard Com port and uses the international vending industry MDB interface to provide both power and low-level controls to a wide range of currency and card validation products. These may include one or more of the following additional components:

Bill Validator

Bill Validators that accept $1, $2, $5, $10, and $20 bills and neatly stack those that are accepted. These validators are equipped to accept the new $5, $10, and $20 bills.

Coin Changer

Coin Changers that accept any combination of nickels, dimes, quarters, or dollar coins, including the new Sacagewa golden dollar, and dispense coins as change from self-replenishing tubes.

Card Reader

Card Readers for Prepaid Stored-Value or Smart Cards. Value may be deducted or added to cards through either the host software or the currency acceptors.

Receipt Printer

An additional option is the Jamex Model 8157 kiosk-style receipt printer. This easy-to-integrate printer features fast and quiet printing of receipts, tickets, coupons, and/or reports. Mounting in an industry-standard panel opening, this unit receives both power and control signals from the Jamex Payment Controller.
